Academics
The academic component of the Land Use Futures Lab focuses on educating students in sustainable land use planning with a focus on GIS applications.
IGERT program
UC Denver has received an Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship (IGERT) grant from the National Science Foundation to develop an innovative inter-disciplinary graduate program on sustainable urban infrastructure which provides fellowships to PhD students. Masters students may be awarded the IGERT after completing core IGERT requirements.
GIS Certificate
We offer a certificate in GIS, associated with faculty and staff throughout the CU-Denver and Boulder campuses.
Courses
Several courses relating the GIS and land use planning are directly related to the work of the Land Use Futures Lab and taught by LUF lab staff and students.
Degrees
The college of Architecture and Planning offers a Bachelor in Environmental Design, a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning and PhD in Planning and Design.
